Executive Director

Makale Ngwenya, as the Executive Director, leverages over ten years of experience as an economist with an extensive background in both the public and private sectors. Makale’s visionary leadership is complemented by their involvement as a Board Member and extensive experience in labour policy and law, industrial sector planning, and sustainable economic development among others. Makale has also contributed significantly through their participation in the BBB-EE Presidential Advisory Council and the National Forests Advisory Council where she is a senior advisor to both the President and Minister respectively.

Mwansa Makubalo

Project Lead and Senior Researcher

Mwansa Makubalo is an analytical International Development specialist with 10 years’ experience. Demonstrated work portfolio in agriculture value chains, climate adaptation projects, renewable energy, and water and sanitation projects. Practical experience in both global north and south contexts. Proven ability in knowledge management, monitoring and evaluation, producing impact reports, and conducting research. Evidenced successful proposal writing, delivered on project goals and objectives. Conversant with working towards strict deadlines and working in multicultural teams.
